She gives up two fingers for Magda to create a gingerbread girl who returns home. Time passes and Nadya decides she wants to leave. The witch, Magda, teaches her about potions and asks her what she wants. Karina treats Nadya badly so the girl runs away to a witch’s house. When a famine hits the town, their mother dies, Maxim doesn’t get enough jobs for his work and girls start disappearing.
